EducationUniversity of San Francisco - Bachelors, Philosophy , University of Edinburgh - Current Grad Student, Philosophy of Cognitive Science
ExperienceI earned my bachelor's degree in philosophy from the University of San Francisco in 2007. I'm currently pursuing my master's degree also in philosophy from the University of Edinburgh remotely. As far as tutoring is concerned, my background with it dates back to high school, and I've tutored students sporadically since then. I'm adept at helping students learn reading, writing, essay editing, literature, college essays, religious studies, English, social sciences, social studies, and philosophy. I can also help students get ready for standardized tests such as the GRE. My main goal in working with students is to help boost their confidence and self-assurance. I'm interested in helping my students not only achieve results but also help them uncover strategies and learn new approaches that work for them. I also draw from my academic studies of philosophy and cognitive science to figure out how the two connect to the way we absorb information and how we educate ourselves. I'm truly enthusiastic and passionate about helping students learn and just being a student overall. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, traveling, listening to music, exploring ideas and places, playing tennis, studying philosophy, and learning about cognitive science. I currently reside in Denver, Colorado.
